Marta Laskowski, MD-PhD Marta Laskowski, MD-PhD, is currently a researcher and resident physician in dermatology and venereology at the University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Gothenburg, Sweden. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Gothenburg in 2015 and was admitted to the residency program at the Department of Dermatology and Venerology at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital in 2018. Her doctoral studies were conducted at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, University of Gothenburg, and she successfully defended her PhD thesis in 2024. Dr Laskowski’s main research interests revolve around risk factors and prognostic markers for psoriasis. The research studies included in the doctoral thesis investigate the influence of obesity, cardiorespiratory fitness, and stress resilience on psoriasis. Her research has also focused on the development of improved distance assessment tools for psoriasis. Furthermore, she is currently involved in a research project developing models for predicting skin cancer using machine learning techniques. In addition to her clinical and research roles, Dr Laskowski is a lecturer in dermatology and the co-founder of the educational dermatology podcast Hudläkarpodden.
