A/Prof Alexander Varey is a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon, with a special interest in cutaneous oncology. He trained in Bristol and Exeter in the UK before moving to Sydney, Australia to work with the Melanoma Institute Australia (MIA), of which he is a faculty member. Alex is involved in a variety of research projects, including leading the development of the melanoma risk prediction tools website 'www.melanomarisk.org.au' and co-editing the two melanoma textbooks published by MIA. He is also a member of the Australian Melanoma Guidelines committee, for which he leads two of the chapters.
